Devil whispers to the warrior, “you can’t withstand the storm”
Warrior whispers back, “I AM… the storm!!”
I have been yapping the same quote for YEARS now; despite not being sure of why I do it. May be I just find it to be some tough shit to say to my victim before I get on his/her case, kek!
But the fact is, the activity of conducting the interviews, publishing them… and then weathering the controversy it brings, has put all my resilience and bad-assery to the test! People just do NOT want to conform and commit to the cause.
After Season 1 of interviews and spending countless hours talking to people, the ones who agreed to be part or the activity and also the ones who didn’t, i have classified the populace into 4 categories:
- The Warriors: These are the people who have NOTHING to hide, the people who can look the world in the eye and do not rattle! Very cooperative, insightful and easy to work with. They wear their shortcomings like an armor; RIDDL3R, Ishkaa et al (from Season 1) these are The Warriors and they are indestructible.
- The Rebels: These are the people who used this platform as a stage to exhibit their own deviance. Persephone’s interview, for instance, sent shock waves throughout IRC and essentially put this blog on the map (new readers can find it under title of ‘The Maleficent’ from season 1); people suddenly wanted to know what is going on and what is in store? The Rebels don’t give a damn what the world thinks about them; that’s why they are so bloody fun to work with! To whom it may concern, we have quite a few rebels schedules to be published in season 2! 😉
- The Haters: The haters, as the name suggests, are the ones who WANT to participate in this activity but DO NOT do so, out of envy…they don’t, because they are jealous! They are jealous of the fact that we’ll do something good with this activity. They are jealous of the hoopla we create with it. They do not want to contribute to anything which will bring me, and the team of this blog in any kind of spotlight, as it would diminish theirs. However, the ones who are not jealous but won’t participate nevertheless, do so out of pure hatred they possess for ME, lol. The funny thing is, even if I do not condone these haters, I actually understand where their sentiments are coming from; I understand their refusal and I forgive them for it! But I really do not understand the people of next category, which are the worst. They are:
- The Loners: The Loners reject being part of the interviews because they are scared of facing the world. They are scared of the opinions others might have after getting to know about them. They are scared of being judged. I acknowledge that there is a limit to how much one can share on IRC about oneself. More, often than not, its prudent not to share a lot than the opposite. But the interview do not ask for anyone’s nikahnama, or whatsapp number, or facebook profile link or any personal detail whatsoever, which might make someone scout one out and violate its privacy in real life. I ask common questions about a person’s experiences, and opinions. Why would anyone want to stay a mystery? Why would anyone want to operate from the shadows? How can someone consciously prefer, the ‘grey areas’? Why can’t one be FREE, for a change? What is the point of being a mystery k na humain koi jaanay, na hum nay kisi ko jan-nuna hai? Why are these people even on IRC, a SOCIAL network, if they don’t want to uphold the true gist of SOCIALIZATION? My question to these people is Why cant you participate in the interview? Why can’t you tell what is your favorite color? What’s the fuss about sharing your fond childhood memory? Why cant you even discuss your likes, your dislikes? What possible EVIL can come from this bit of information? Are you Scared that people might not like you? Or are you just being political and dont have the guts to explicate your opinions, k it will expose you for the hypocrite you are? Lol, You are, the truest form of loner in the world! You are the people who cannot even socialize despite hiding behind a nick in a fickle MADE UP world like IRC; God help your souls!
With al this nonsense off my chest, I really want to thank the WARRIORS and the REBELS who gave their consent and time for this activity, you’re all aces in my books. It has been my genuine pleasure knowing you all and this activity wouldn’t be possible without your generosity, help and time. I thank you all!
So Ladies & Gentlemen, season 2 of the interviews begin in 7-10 days; meet the Class of Season 2:
